This reportprovides an overview of the progress made in improving the customer experience,in line with Council’s commitment to delivering a high-quality customerexperience. The IOSS proactively raisesconcerns identified from other Councils with Governance and Audit teams as partof our shared service prevention measures to ensure similar issues are notencountered with Inner West. Given the role of customer service and the  serviceimprovement team in identifying and seeking to address/improve known andemerging issues, the IOSS undertakes, where relevant, to also involve thecustomer service and service improvement teams in this proactive advice.
The planning/design phase for anew kitchen is in progress with the design intention to better support cateringrelated to events and functions at the cottage. The Aprilmeeting resolution called for an alternate design to the kitchen that includedthe removal of the hot water system and use of the space to extend the usablearea to the kitchen. This has now been incorporated into the design (Figure1) and works metal roofing north york are on track to be delivered by the end of August 2025 at acost estimate of $50,000. Recreation preferences across theInner West reflect the need for a balanced offering of traditional sport,fitness, and informal activities.

Option 1– Adopt the proposed draft Wairarapa Local Alcohol Policy was the mostsupported individual option and the majority of submitters supported theproposed Policy as drafted or with amendments (24/33).

Part 2C of the ADGstates that secondary height controls should be considered to transition builtform, for example “a step down in building height at the boundary betweentwo height zones”. The proponent was requested to undertake a built form analysis to demonstrate a final built form outcome if the additional incentives in the Housing SEPP were utilised. This analysis has not yet been undertaken by the proponent and the proponent has expressed the bonus is unlikely to be utilised given that the site is restricted in terms of its potential height by the OLS 51m. However, there is no certainty regarding this outcome as the Housing SEPP prevails and a future DA can rely on these Housing SEPP incentives which may have a substantial built form amenity impact on the adjoining area.
No substantive changes to the plansare proposed as a result of the public exhibition, however minor amendments tosome targets, statutory changes to some fees and charges, and updates forclarity or to correct minor errors in the drafts are outlined in thereport. If council was of a mind to increase the grant fundedprogram by reducing the staff establishment using one vacant staff positionthis will provide an extra $130,000 to the budget taking the grant program to$350,000. This could be done as a trial whilst the Team Leader of EconomicDevelopment is recruited and they review the timing to implement the actions inthe proposed in the Economic Development Strategy. The prefabricated system means ease of construction and allows for the involvement of local stakeholders in the camp construction stage. Councilstaff gave a presentation detailing the engagement to date for the CommunitySafety Action Plan and themes from both Summer Hill public meeting and Your SayInner West public consultation data. The twenty-five attendeesincluded parents, residents, community service providers working within theSummer Hill area and officers from the Burwood Police Area Command. Apresentation from the NSW Crime Prevention team and a speech from Reverend BillCrews about community safety and connection were delivered on the night.

Furthermoreparticipating Councils will not be asked to decide on the specific aspects ofthe joint WSCCO option (or even their own status quo option) when adoptingwater services consultation documents. The joint WSCCO consultationdocument is designed to solicit public feedback public. Using the expanded AOGto consider these questions, and providing clarity for the project team willhelp ensure the final consultation document will be consistent across the Wai+Tparticipants, will be robust enough for public engagement, and will be deliveredon time. The expansion of theAOG would provide resilience to the AOG and project staff working on draftconsultation document.
D)    completion of the further technical investigations required for the ‘additional housing opportunity areas’. That Council note that following the adoption of the “Fairer Future for the Inner West” Plan that a new stage (stage 2) of investigations will be required for areas not examined under the plan so far. Enabling the Inner West community to engage in recycling softplastics is another strategic direction and is facilitated directly by councilvia a doorstep collection funded by Council HomeCycle- Inner West Council. Another significantplastics recycling opportunities is via Woolworths drop-off at selected stores Discover- Woolworths Online. That Council endorse the Sustainable Procurement Working Group investigation of priority areas for use of recycled materials, highlighting the use of recycled soft plastics in capital works projects, with an update report to the December 2025 Council meeting.
Council isrequired to review its Investment Policy on at least annual basis, in order tocomply with the OLG’s Investment Policy Guidelines, which were issued inMay 2010. The Investment Policy Guidelinesproduced by the Office of Local Government (OLG) pursuant to section 23A of theLocal Government Act 1993 (Act) require Council to review its InvestmentPolicy at least on annual basis, and amend it as required. Chambers and Businesses Associations would apply annually forfunding through Council’s Annual Grant Program using the Smarty GrantProcess. A selection panel would be established to assess applications whichwill include an independent panel member. TheChambers and BusinessAssociations Grant Program aims to strengthen the local economyby showcasing the sought after lifestyle and  cultural advantages of the InnerWest as a place to shop, live, work, explore and do business. That Council notes the recent passing of Dr Peter Bokor and acknowledges the 56 years of caring for our community in his service as a local Doctor from 1960 to 2016 when he retired.
The roof continues down to form the verandah canopy at the same pitch. A painted brick chimney with corbelling and a honeypot flue remains extant.The verandah canopy is supported on turned timber posts. The verandah deck is concrete which is likely to be a replacement of the original timber decking. The garden is planted and paved and enclosed by a timber picket fence.

The IWLPP recommended the Planning Proposal beconditionally supported. Table 3 below summarises the IWLPP concerns andCouncil officer responses. As requested at pre-lodgement stage, the proponent consulted with Transport for NSW (TfNSW) regarding the  M4-M5 tunnel beneath the site. In their correspondence with the proponent, Transport for NSW outlined parameters for any future development application but did not raise any conflicts with TfNSW.
